Howdy!
The Texas A&M Department of Horticultural Sciences would like to invite YOU to our Fall Horticulture Exploration Day!
We are excited to share an upcoming opportunity for Blinn College students interested in pursuing a bachelor's degree in horticulture and related fields at Texas A&M University.
This event is designed for prospective transfer students and provides a unique opportunity to explore academic and career pathways within the Department of Horticultural Sciences. Attendees will have the chance to connect with faculty, current students, and industry professionals while learning about programs in horticulture, plant sciences, landscape design, floral design, greenhouse production, environmental systems, and other related disciplines.
Participants will also tour facilities, gain insight into hands-on learning experiences, and discover the many career opportunities available within the horticulture industry. This year's event will take place on October 10th, 2026.

What’s included?
Lunch
- Time: 11:30 a.m.–1 p.m.
- Description: Network with other participants, faculty, businesses and students.
Two parent/teacher sessions:
The event will include two parent/teacher sessions. These sessions are designed to address the most common questions we hear from parents and teachers about opportunities in horticulture. Topics will include career pathways, earning potential and educational support options.
Tabling event:
Select sponsoring businesses will host interactive tables where participants can connect, ask questions and explore specific areas of horticulture. These stations provide a great opportunity to learn about career paths, industry trends and hands-on applications directly from professionals in the field.
Two student emphasis area sessions:
Students will have a choice of sessions in two emphasis areas. Minors over 15 may be able to engage in hands-on experiences. (Those under 15 are welcome to observe).
