To register for Bryan NSR you must meet these requirements:
- You must have a current application for the Bryan campus (Summer I, Summer II, or Fall 2025 application).
- You must have turned in your bacterial meningitis shot record.
- Missing the shot record will not stop you from registering for NSR, but you cannot register for classes until the shot record has been received.
- Visit the Bacterial Meningitis Immunization site for more information.
- Click Evidence of Vaccination against Bacterial Meningitis Form to submit your bacterial meningitis shot record.
- You must have turned in your test scores. These may include:
- SAT or ACT test scores that meet the minimum scores to exempt from further testing (SAT/ACT Minimum Exemption Scores).
- College Transcripts
- TSIA or TSIA2 test scores
- Click Test Score Submission Form to submit your score reports.
- You must be a first-time college student (Transfer students are not eligible to attend NSR).
- We will close registration for NSR three days prior to the event.
At New Student Registration, you will learn more about Blinn. You will attend a presentation, visit with an advisor, and register for classes. You also can visit with Financial Aid and other Blinn departments at the Resource Fair.
If you take the online version of NSR, you will review an online presentation and go through an online orientation. You will then be given step-by-step instructions on how to contact an academic advisor, how to register, how to contact Financial Aid, and learn about the many resources and opportunities available to you at Blinn.
Advance registration is required for New Student Registration. Have additional questions? Visit our FAQ page.

We understand this is a big day and many families want to experience the day with their students! However, due to space constraints, each student is allowed to bring up to 2 guests. No more than 2 guests will be admitted into the sessions with the student.
If you need to cancel or change your NSR day/session for any reason, please email us at nsr@blinn.edu. Make sure to include your full name, Blinn ID#, campus, and preferred day and session time in your email to us.
Please keep in mind that space is limited and attendance will be determined based on order of registration; therefore, we cannot guarantee availability for rescheduling of NSR dates.
Students are welcome to bring their own device (laptop or tablet) to use throughout the day and WiFi will be available. If you are unable to bring your own device, don't worry! Computers will be available for ALL students.
A first time freshman is a student who has recently graduated high school and is attending college for the first time (this does not include any dual credit work that has been completed).
Transfer students are not eligible to attend New Student Registration (NSR). To view all of the ways to meet with an academic advisor, visit our Ways to Meet With an Advisor page.
Students who cannot attend in person have the option to go though an online NSR course or to meet with an advisor on their own. To view all the ways to meet with an advisor, click here.
